Eamcet 2009 Results on 31 May or 1 June

Eamcet-2009 will be conducted today in749 centres across the whole state...

Eamcet for engineering stream will be held in 606 centres from 10 am to 1 pm, the exam for medical and agricultural streams will be conducted in 143 centres from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. In this year’s Eamcet 25 per cent weight will be given for Intermediate marks while determining the rank. Officials have asked the candidates to reach the exam centres at least one hour before the scheduled time. Students will be allowed into the centres from 9.30 am for morning session and from 2 pm in the afternoon session.

Students will not be allowed into the centres even one minute after the scheduled time of 10 am and 2.30 pm. While the number of students attempting engineering had gone up from 2.75 lakh last year to over 3.11 lakh this year, in the medicine and agriculture stream the number has come down from 79,000 to 65,000. 

The examination material has already been dispatched to 22 regional centres across the state. The candidates will not be allowed to leave the halls before the end of the examination. Cell phones, calculators, pagers and any other devices will not be permitted inside. Police personnel will be deployed near exam centres and prohibitory orders under Section 144 would be clamped on 100-metre radius of the centres.
